Kara Hetrick moved to Salt Lake in the early 2000s and fell in love with the outdoor opportunities so close to the city. Since moving to Utah, she has worked in nonprofit outreach, communications, fundraising, and public policy.
Kara loves revisiting the same trails in the foothills near her home almost daily and watching the seasons change, seeing the wildflowers bloom, and identifying native plant species. She supports thoughtful trail development to make these beautiful places accessible to all, while protecting the ecosystems we’re so fortunate to be able to experience.
