Dan has been hiking, biking, and running Utah trails since moving to Salt Lake City in 2002 from the northeast. He was first exposed to the outdoors as a teenager in the well-developed trail networks of the White Mountains of New Hampshire, and now the Wasatch is where he goes to escape and unwind, as well as get some much needed intense exercise.

Dan spent two years in Paraguay with the U.S. Peace Corps, where he was a volunteer working on water sanitation and health infrastructure projects in rural communities. He now works professionally as an investor in small, publicly-traded companies around the world.

A recent convert to the pleasures and potential of the foothills, Dan is excited to join the Trails Utah board and start making a much more active contribution to the planning, development, and maintenance of the incredible outdoor recreation opportunities we are lucky to have right on our doorstep.
