To connect, steward, and celebrate Utah’s natural spaces and communities through
trails.
To connect Utah’s citizens and diverse communities to our spectacular landscapes
through environmentally sustainable trails, for the health and well-being of all Utahns.
Trails Utah is dedicated to trails advocacy, planning, funding, and construction in
needed areas throughout the state.
Trails Utah is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to trails advocacy, planning, funding and building in needed areas throughout Utah.
Trails bring many benefits, whether to improve health, strengthen communities or develop economies. There is ever-increasing demand for trails as the number of outdoor recreationists continues to grow, and a need to expand, maintain, and improve our trail systems in an environmentally sustainable way.
Our organization acts as a facilitator – developing stakeholder relations, working with municipalities, other non-profits, federal agencies, community councils and others to bring trails to communities throughout Utah. Our funding comes from a combination of government, foundation and non-profit grants as well as sponsorship, membership and individual contributions. Funds support operations and trail projects in Salt Lake County and beyond.
