About: Join Trails Utah for a welcoming community hike focused on mental health and well-being, led by Dru White and Trails Utah’s Sarah Bennett, Sarah Morton, and Cassie Peterinelli.

5/16 | Blooms in the Foothills: Hike with a Red Butte Garden Botanist 🌸

About: This hike is a chance to spend a few hours on the trail learning about the plants and spring blooms that shape the foothills.

6/6 | Weed mitigation at Lodestone Mtn. Bike Park 🚵

About: Join a volunteer effort to clear the weeds at Lodestone Mountain Bike Park!

When: Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 9 a.m.
Where: Lodestone Regional Park | Meet near the tennis courts. Can’t be there right at 9am? Find the WGC Hawaiian jerseys, and you’ll find us!

6/19 | Trail Running Film Festival w/ SLRC 🏃‍♀️

About: Come stoke your trail fire with a night of endurance, strength, dust and grit at the SLC stop of the Trail Running Film Festival!

When: Friday, June 19, 2026

Where: Highland High School Auditorium

Salt Lake Running Company (SLRC) will be donating proceeds from the event to Trails Utah—THANK YOU, SLRC!

8/9 | Stargazing Hike with Salty Star Run Club ✨

About: Join Trails Utah and Salty Star Run Club for a hike timed around sunset to Twin Lakes, followed by an evening of stargazing under one of the darkest skies of the month at Brighton.

When: Sunday, August 9, 2026.

8/22 | Weed mitigation with CCF

About: Join Trails Utah and the Cottonwood Canyons Foundation (CCF) for a day of weed mitigation on the Ferguson Canyon section of BST.

9/12 | Birds and Trails Hike with HawkWatch 🦅

About: Fall is raptor migration season, making this a great time to learn more about birds of prey and the landscapes they move through. This event will begin with a live-bird presentation at the trailhead, followed by a community hike with time for bird spotting and trail-based learning along the way.

9/25 | Trail work at Twin Lakes + Silver Lake 🪏

About: Join Trails Utah and CCF for a huge restoration project on the Twin Lakes – Solitude snow making line. We’ll meet at the Silver Lake Visitor Center, hike to the work site together, then install erosion control blankets that will stabilize the hillside and support the trail’s recovery.

When: Friday, September 25, 2026 | 8 a.m. – noon
Where: Silver Lake Visitor Center
Led by: Trails Utah & the Cottonwood Canyons Foundation

9/26 | Cactus Planting w/ SLC Public Lands 🌵

About: Help restore the Bonneville Fire burn area by planting native cacti with Salt Lake City Public Lands. Together, we’ll help reduce erosion, restore native vegetation, and improve wildlife habitat.

When: Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026
Where: Near the University of Utah
Led by: Salt Lake City Department of Public Lands
