Hilary is an avid trail user whether she’s on her mountain bike, out for run, or hiking to her
favorite crag to climb. A beautifully built trail puts a smile on her face. As a frequent trail user since moving to Utah from the east coast in the early ‘90’s, she has seen the degradation of trails from over use, the increased difficulty finding parking at trail heads and the development of user created trails that lead to erosion and disruption of the environment around the trail, due to the growing and population of the Wasatch Front and interest in getting outside . She is a strong advocate of well-planned and thoughtfully developed trails and stewardship of our outdoor spaces and is excited to support Trails Utah’s mission. She loves sharing the trail with her child when they are home from college. When not out on the trails, Hilary is an Assistant Professor at the University of Utah and a climbing coach at a local gym.
