About the EXPLORE Act

After nearly a decade of dedicated efforts from the outdoor recreation community, the EXPLORE Act has officially passed the Senate and is headed to the President’s desk to become law.

This monumental achievement marks a significant step forward for outdoor enthusiasts and organizations like Trails Utah.

Highlights of the policy package include the Biking on Long Distance Trails Act (BOLT), Protecting America’s Rock Climbing Act (PARC), Simplifying Outdoor Access for Recreation Act (SOAR), permanent direction for the Outdoor Recreation Legacy Partnership and FICOR.

The bipartisan EXPLORE Act introduces critical measures to enhance and protect outdoor recreation opportunities via the following EXPLORE policies.
